Acceptable Use Policy
Clear lines on what ZeroBot may and may not be used for.
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") governs the use of services provided by ZeroBot ("ZeroBot", "we", "us"). It is part of, and incorporated into, the Terms of Service. By accessing or using any ZeroBot service — including the bot-detection API, dashboard, URL shortener, hosting, and any official plugin or integration (together, the "Services") — you agree to this AUP on behalf of yourself and any organisation you represent.
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
1. Prohibited Content and Activity
You may not use the Services to host, link to, promote, or facilitate any of the following:
- Phishing and credential harvesting — fake login pages, brand impersonation sites, pretexting, or any operation designed to trick visitors into disclosing credentials, payment data, or personal information.
- Malware and exploit delivery — distribution of viruses, ransomware, spyware, rootkits, crypto-miners installed without consent, or drive-by-download pages.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors. We report such content to the relevant authorities immediately.
- Human trafficking, forced labour, or exploitation content, including services facilitating such activity.
- Illegal gambling targeting jurisdictions where it is unlicensed, or promoting unregulated betting products.
- Intellectual property infringement — unauthorised distribution of copyrighted material, counterfeit goods, pirated software, or trademark-infringing brand impersonation.
- Fraud, scams, and deceptive commerce — including "investment" fraud, advance-fee scams, fake shops, and ponzi/pyramid schemes.
- Content that incites violence, terrorism, or hate against a protected group, or material glorifying the same.
- Unlawful pharmaceutical, weapons, or controlled-substance sales that bypass licensing or prescription requirements.
- Services to sanctioned persons or jurisdictions where prohibited under UK, EU, or US sanctions regimes.
2. Prohibited Technical Uses
Independent of the content you host, you may not use the Services to:
- Conduct denial-of-service or distributed-denial-of-service attacks, or to participate in botnet coordination.
- Scan, probe, or attempt unauthorised access to networks, systems, or accounts — whether belonging to ZeroBot, to other ZeroBot customers, or to third parties.
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam), SMS, or direct messages, or to evade any opt-in / opt-out obligation under CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or equivalent laws.
- Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or authentication controls on the Services themselves.
- Reverse-engineer the Services except to the extent expressly permitted by mandatory law.
3. Antibot-Specific Restrictions
ZeroBot's detection services are designed to help operators distinguish legitimate human traffic from automated traffic. They are not a tool for concealment. You may not use the Services to:
- Cloak content from advertising-platform reviewers (for example: serving a compliant landing page to Google Ads, Meta Ads, or TikTok Ads reviewers while serving different content to real users) in violation of any advertising platform's policies.
- Serve different content to search-engine crawlers than to users ("SEO cloaking") in a way that violates search-engine webmaster guidelines.
- Evade compliance, regulatory, or consumer-protection review — including concealment of unlicensed financial, gambling, or medical services from regulators.
- Route CPA / affiliate traffic through misleading bridge pages in a way that breaches affiliate-network terms or FTC disclosure rules.
- Target real users with a bait-and-switch — showing a different product or price than promoted in paid placements.
- Conceal sanctioned-jurisdiction content from enforcement or journalism.
4. Customer Responsibility
You are responsible for everything your account does, including content hosted on domains you register with ZeroBot, rules you configure, traffic you route through our API, and — if you resell our Services — the conduct of your own customers. Reseller accounts must require their own customers to agree to an equivalent acceptable-use policy.
5. Reporting Abuse
If you believe a ZeroBot customer is violating this AUP, email
abuse@zerobot.info with:
- The domain, URL, or account identifier involved.
- A description of the violation and — where possible — evidence (screenshots, headers, logs).
- The best contact for follow-up.
We acknowledge abuse reports within one (1) business day and aim to investigate within five (5) business days. For child-safety, CSAM, or imminent-harm reports, we respond on an emergency basis and cooperate directly with law enforcement and hotlines including the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and NCMEC.
6. Enforcement
A violation of this AUP may result in — at our sole discretion and without prior notice where circumstances warrant — any combination of the following:
- Temporary suspension of a specific domain, rule, or API key.
- Account-wide suspension pending investigation.
- Permanent termination of the account with forfeiture of any prepaid amounts.
- Preservation and disclosure of account data to law enforcement pursuant to a valid legal request.
- Referral to relevant authorities, trust-and-safety coalitions, or affected third parties (including brand owners in impersonation cases).
We apply the least disruptive measure consistent with stopping the violation and any risk of ongoing harm. Where the violation is unintentional and promptly corrected, a warning may be sufficient.
7. No Obligation to Monitor
ZeroBot is not obligated to actively monitor customer content, traffic, or rule configurations. We act on abuse reports, on signals from our own detection systems, and on valid legal requests. The absence of prior action against a given account does not constitute approval of that account's activity.
